Health Care

During the pandemic, we discovered that 98% of the 3500 plus people that died in the County had an underlying condition.

I will not rest until we are able to address the root cause of the disproportionate amount of diabetes, heart conditions, cancer, etc. Effective healthcare doesn’t stop at treating physical health. Developing our mental health is an essential part of creating thriving, healthy communities.

My duty to the health of our community starts with executing a mental health strategy that addresses the increase in suicides, depression, and increase in domestic violence in not only adults but children in our community as part of the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a community, we must focus on serving the mental health needs of our region.

There has never been a more critical time to do so. With our collective efforts, our community can and will lead the way in providing effective and sustainable healthcare that incorporates mental wellness for everyone. Join us in optimizing our community’s health this November.
