COVID-19 Response

The COVID-19 pandemic has forever changed the way we work and live. To this day, we continue to respond to the COVID-19 Virus and the risks it poses to us all. We all know that protecting our families starts with following the experts.

It’s about taking evidence-based measures to keep everyone safe in our communities. If you recall, I took a strong stance about following the science and not the politics involved. With our efforts, El Paso County is home to 76.5% fully and 88.97% partially vaccinated residents. But our work is still not finished. As county judge, I will continue to work with The City and our local health officials.

Together, we will do what it takes to keep our community safe and healthy for everyone. We learned two important Lessons; The Virus never took away our ability to be outdoors. That is why I am a strong advocate to execute our County Park’s master Plans that clearly provides opportunities for everyone to engage in an array of outdoor activities independent of any threat from the possible Viruses that are being predicted for the future.

It will be our goal at this time to coexist with the Virus now that we have the weapons to fight it. Secondly, we learned that the first line of defense toward the Virus is being Healthy.
